Charity Consultancy Service
We offer a range of consultancy services which are normally undertaken by Dr Gareth Morgan. We are pleased to act directly for a charity, or for those seeking to set up a charity, or for professional advisers to assist in your work with a charity client.
Consultancy services can range from a half day session with charity trustees, to a governance review and restructuring of a charity over several months or even to the support of a major appeal over several years.
Specific services include:
- Advice on setting up new charities (click here for details) and taking you through the full process for formation of a new charity
- Charity VAT reviews
- Governance reviews
- Converting unincorporated charities to charitable companies or to charitable incorporated organisations (CIOs/SCIOs)
- Independent examination of accounts (click here for details)
- Fundraising consultancy – especially on technical issues.
Our consultancy work is normally focused in Yorkshire, North East England and southern Scotland, but we can sometimes work with organisations elsewhere depending on the amount of travel needed. We are familiar with the requirements of charity law throughout the UK (England & Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland).
What Clients Say:
“Kubernesis has provided invaluable advice in establishing 3 charitable companies and in reviewing the memorandum and articles of a fourth. They are thorough, supportive, understanding of the complexities and foibles of very unusual charities and always (somehow!) make charity legislation easy to follow.” Mark Dobson, Tyneside Cinema
